May and June 2018

“You will never know what it has cost my generation to preserve your freedom, I hope you will make good use of it” – – John Quincy Adams

May is almost over, it was a busy month, starting with the National Day of Prayer on May 3rd, then Mothers Day on the 13th,  International Police Week, from May 13-19, and ending  with Memorial Day, the 28th.  It was a month to remember our Nation, our Police, and our fallen Military.  These are the backbone of our Country, and I pray that through all the celebrations and picnics, that we all take some time to reflect on the real meaning of these holidays.

In June there are a couple of notable dates, D-Day, June 6th, Flag Day, the 14th, and Fathers Day the 17th.  Time is moving so fast, the year is nearly half over.

We should start to take the time to spend a few moments each day in conversation with God, that is what is known as Prayer.  Yes, Prayer, all it is, is having a conversation with God.  Talk to him, just like you would any friend and he will listen.  his word says:

“If My people, which are called by my name, shall jumble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”  2Chronicles 7:14
